New Employees Complete Comprehensive Genex Training Program   

SHAWANO, Wis. - Three new Genex Cooperative, Inc. employees completed a one-week comprehensive training program, and joined the cooperative's professional staff providing bovine reproductive service to cattle producers across the U.S.

The training program, designed to prepare field employees for the everyday challenges of providing reproductive services for dairy and beef producers, included detailed instruction in artificial insemination (A.I.) techniques, estrus detection and synchronization, genetics, business management and Genex programs. 

Graduates of the training program include individuals from Texas, Vermont and Wisconsin.

With completion of the training program Mandie Hettinga of Muleshoe, Texas, has joined Genex as a Breeding Program Specialist in the Clovis, N.M., area. As a BPS, Hettinga provides complete cattle reproductive management services including A.I., heat detection, synchronization protocol management, and data input and analysis. She came to Genex with previous experience as an A.I. technician and fresh cow manager.

 Kenric Gonyaw is a Regional Services Coordinator in Vermont's Addison and Orleans counties. After spending 28 years as a dairy farmer, Gonyaw is now providing relief cattle reproductive management through Genex. He resides in Morgan, Vt.

 Darryl Warren has worked 16 years with the Genex sister-subsidiary AgSource Cooperative Services and now also works at Genex as an Regional Services Coordinator. He provides cattle semen and reproductive service to dairy and beef producers around his hometown of Ashland, Wis.
