New Employees Graduate from Genex Training Program

SHAWANO, Wis. -  Eight individuals have completed an intensive two-week training program to begin their careers with Genex Cooperative, Inc., a dairy and beef cattle genetics cooperative. These new Genex employees include: Matthew Dickinson, Cattaraugus, N.Y.; Colby Hamm, Hohenwald, Tenn.; Jerald Lindbom, Eau Claire, Wis.; Melissa Magini, Southbury, Conn.; Jorge Melchor, Horizon City, Texas; Kyle Parsons, Ripon, Wis.; Brandon Statler, Greencastle, Pa.; and Zachary Wendler, Wittenberg, Wis.

With the completion of the two-week training program and additional supervised on-farm training, these individuals gained practical knowledge in cattle reproductive anatomy and physiology, synchronization, heat detection, semen handling, artificial insemination, and dairy and beef genetics. They have learned the skills necessary to provide high-quality cattle genetics and complete cattle reproductive services on the farms of Genex members and customers across the United States. Their ultimate focus in their careers now is to enhance Genex members' and customers' ability to maximize farm profits through sound reproduction programs and progressive genetics.
