GENESIS is Home to Industry's Top LNM and TPI Cow

SHAWANO, Wis. - MS Pride Plnt Tasket 788-ET, GP-83, VG-MS, a Holstein cow within the GENESIS Cooperative Herd at Genex Cooperative, Inc., leads the industry at +$986 Lifetime Net Merit (LNM) and +2550 TPI.

"Tasket is a prime example of the progressive genetics of the GENESIS herd," explains Angie Coburn, Genex Associate Vice President of Dairy Genetics. "Since 1989, we have strategically mated cattle within the GENESIS Cooperative Herd to produce elite animals, both artificial insemination bulls to profitably influence Genex members' herds and high genetic merit females to serve as the next generation of bull dams."

Tasket freshened with her first calf in September. At 97 days into her first lactation, she averages 95 pounds of milk. Her production record stand at 2-01, 2X, 97 days, 7,574 pounds milk, 4.1%, 311 fat and 3.0%, 229 protein (inc.).

Tasket's high achievement is the second among GENESIS females in the past year. In previous proofs, herdmate Co-op Boliver Yoyo-ET, VG-86, VG-MS led the industry for LNM and TPI.
