New Genex Employees Complete Extensive Training Program
SHAWANO, Wis. - Fourteen individuals took part in a two-week training program at the Genex Cooperative, Inc. headquarters in Shawano, Wis. The training program was the first step in preparing new employees for their careers in the cattle artificial insemination (A.I.) industry. In addition to new field staff members, three spring interns and a lab technician also took part in the training.
Throughout the training program, students learned about cattle genetics and reproductive systems, semen production, marketing, and Genex products and programs. Their education also extended beyond the classroom as participants gained hands-on experience in semen handling, cattle heat detection and A.I.
This initial training session was the beginning of an extensive employee education program. These employees will continue to develop and learn the newest reproductive techniques throughout their careers at Genex.
