New Genex Employees Trained for Success
SHAWANO, Wis. - The five newest employees of Genex Cooperative Inc., have recently completed an extensive two-week training course and are prepared for successful careers in the bovine genetics industry. Throughout the two-week course, participants heard from company representatives and participated in hands-on learning opportunities.
Ashlee Morris will be serving Eastern Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts as a Breeding Program Specialist (BPS). Originally from Fairfield, Vt., Morris graduated from SUNY Cobleskill with a bachelor's degree in agricultural business management. Prior to working for Genex, she gained industry experience working for another organization within the artificial insemination (A.I.) industry.
The newest District Services Coordinator (DSC) in south central Minnesota is Adam Marshall. Marshall resides in St. Peter, Minn., with his wife and two sons. He has extensive industry experience working for eight years as the reproduction manager on an 8,000 cow dairy.
As DSC in the state of Maine, Toby Lawrence will provide insemination service and support to local Genex teams. Lawrence previously worked within the automotive industry. He brings with him beef experience from his hobby of raising beef cattle. He resides in Harmony, Maine, with his children Caleb and Cameron.
Brent Moyer is the newest Area Sales Representative in the state of Michigan. Originally from Angola, Ind., Moyer has previously worked for two 2,500 cow dairies and is a previous employee of Genex. As a hobby, Moyer enjoys showing registered dairy cattle.
Franklin County Vermont's newest Regional Services Coordinator is David Rice. Rice is a graduate of the University of Vermont with a bachelor's degree in animal science. He is originally from Windsor, Vt., and has previous work experience with milking goats.
During their training, all participants completed a series of comprehensive classroom courses focused on bovine genetics, reproduction, reproductive physiology, synchronization programs, business management procedures and Genex programs. The hands-on portion allowed students to further the knowledge gained in the classroom by developing skills in artificial insemination (A.I.).
Throughout their careers, these Genex employees will continue to learn the latest in cattle reproduction and A.I. techniques through advanced reproductive training and e-learning.
Genex is a subsidiary of Cooperative Resources International (CRI).
